I held off on discovering any mountains beyond seeing them in the distance on this playthrough, holding off until yesterday's update. Haven't spent enough time to find a cave yet, but forgot how challenging it is mountain climbing (I would love to have craftable crampons) while drakes are trying to pew pew me, and finding cool towers on small outcroppings above sheer cliffs and navigating to them. No pic to post as I am at work now and only thinking back on last nights short session.

So my short wish list to add for the mountains- Crampons- Rope for guidelines

In any event, even without caves I find the mountains pretty awesome. I wish I felt this much fun in the advanced biome of the plains.

Edit: forgot to add that the second tower on the cliff ledge in the mountains I went peeking at last night had Moder's location tablet… she being right on top of that very mountain, on my starter island to boot. Cannot wait to jump back in game this evening.
