From Epic to Frontier and my first Odyssey impressions

I posted it on the Frontier official ED forum, and I'm posting it here on Reddit too, just in case someone needs to know how to transfer CMDR from Epic to Frontier.

More than a half year ago, I posted a question here about if it would be possible to keep my original Epic CMDR Name If I would buy ED directly from the Frontier Store:

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/keep-cmdr-name.605879/

So finally I did it, don't even ask why it took me so long to get the game (RL sometimes wants me more than the game ha ha), but now I'm a proud owner of the Elite Dangerous: Commander Premium Edition and guess what, not only I kept my CMDR name, but I also transferred the whole in-game progress from Epic to Frontier, it's actually was shamefully easy to do and there is no need to contact support:

1. I unlinked my Epic account, here is how to:

https://customersupport.frontier.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/4404348738066-How-can-I-unlink-my-Steam-or-Epic-Games-account-

2. I logged in to Frontier Launcher with the same Frontier CMDR account I used with Epic.

Ta-da, just it, it's done, my CMDR name and the whole game progress were fully and completely transferred from Epic to Frontier (strictly speaking, nothing was transferred I just logged in to the same my Frontier account from the Frontier launcher instead of Epic launcher).

I'm sharing all the details here just in case someone else needs to transfer an account and seek help, I'm not sure though if that could be done with Steam, but with Epic it was flawless.

On Epic I got ED for free during the promotional period around two years ago, it was only Elite Dangerous: Horizons without Odyssey, so last night was the first time I played the game on foot.

I mean, Oh My God… I bet many of you here would throw heavy rocks at me for what I'm going to say now, because of all the complaints about Odyssey, but IT WAS AMAZING (I'm talking about the initial on foot tutorial mission).

Phenomenal graphics (I play on Ultra Settings) way more realistic to my taste than Star Citizen's kinda cartoonish style, very energetic and active gameplay, mechanics and interactions with the surroundings were right on spot, meaningful and logically justified in-game systems, and the sound (!!!)… I was sincerely impressed, and quite shocked actually by how much I liked Odyssey, and the possibilities to walk around on countless planets and moons blows my mind away indeed.

It was many years ago, when I installed the original Doom to my first PC and I played all night long just because I enjoyed the game so much I couldn't stop playing, now 30 years later I felt exactly the same way.

I played non-stop till 2 AM last night and literally forced myself to bed, Odyssey reminds me of Doom, plus my second favorite game back then was Wing Commander: Armada, so ED Odyssey essentially a perfect combination of both games to me, Doom with the space simulator, just it, this is my endgame game.

Dear Frontier guys, thank you very much for creating my dream game.
