FSD Lore question – useful for weaponry?

Greetings everyone! I have a semi-lore related question for the people who know physics better than I do, and it namely being about the FSD and the way it moves through space. You see, I am currently doing some exploring and that goes semi-well, but I accidentally smashed into a star after the line didn't appear. That is fine and all, I got out, but it made me realize something. The FSD has an emergency stop to prevent that from happening, which is good because otherwise I wouldn't even have come further than Maia, but what if it didn't have such? What if the FSD would actually let you fly into the sun, or planets for that matter at such high speeds?

You see, I am aware it works on the Alcubierre drive for FTL flight, meaning that the ship should (in my understanding) still exist within regular space, unlike other sci-fi material where it's an entirely different dimension altogether. This means that it should, in theory, be able to collide with objects such as stars and planets, hence the emergency stop. Though, because it still actually exists within actual space, my mind nearly automatically went to "how to weaponize this", followed by "has this already been tried before within the Elite Dangerous universe?". We all know the infamous scene of the 8th Star Wars mainline movie, where Captain purplehair smashes her ship into the other enemy ships, which is unreasonable for that universe with how hyperdrives work but in the E:D universe, would that be a plausibility? Not exactly as it happened that happened within the Star Wars movie of course, as I personally would reckon you need a few light-minutes of distance to build up immense amounts of speed, but in theory it seems possible that if you were to remove the emergency stop, you would just have an object going multiple times the speed of light smash into the planet you wish to erase, and that is a fantastic weapon for how eagerly the Feds and Imps wanna dunk each others heads in – or even something to defened against the Stargoids if those are about to ruin our days.

All in all, would my theory of it being possible to use a drone ship with FSD to smash into planets for orbital bombardment ring true? Or am I just fantasizing about something physically impossible, even with the FSD and FTL? Let me know your thoughts on it, I personally find it fascinating because if the theory is true, it makes me wonder if it has been tried before, and if it hasn't, why not?

TL;DR – What happens if the FSD doesn't have an emergency stop and can this be used to bomb planets and if so, why hasn't it been used already?
