So why do they seem so incapable most of the time?
For example the Engineer Feedback we posted on the forum a long time ago (a year?). They haven't said a word about whats going on with it. Presumably this could be the "key feature" rework we will get in 2023.
Or how about the leaks about the Panther Clipper? This thing has been rumored for years to be added to the game. Its been 3.5 years since we have had new ships, what are they waiting for?
Yeah, I'm fully aware the console transfers aren't happening yet, but it's a clear cut sign of how game development is supposed to be, the players find a problem, the developers react, the developers lay out a plan and the players know what to expect.
Why can't we have this same energy for other aspects of the game? I wish they would talk about things like how Odyssey Engineering can be fixed (remove permanent mods anyone?), the lack of a player ran economy (let us set realistic sale prices of materials on our FCs please), new ships they are going to add to the game, Horizons Engineer Rework, how PowerPlay could be improved, or how they're fixing network stability.
I guess pissing off 2/3 of your playerbase and having them react to that is the only way to get a peep out of FDEV. The CMs can bark all they want that Elite isn't dieing, but it sure as hell doesn't feel alive.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
