Hello all, I’m an ex dota, hon, lol player who recently rekindled my love for dota over the last couple months. I usually play a game or two after work during the week and I really haven’t ran into many griefers or rage quitters at that time. However, over the last few weeks, I’ve tried playing some (solo ranked) games during the weekends and it’s just littered with everything you don’t want in a game. My sample size isn’t huge but I do clearly remember this was the case in LoL when I cared deeply about my ranked gameplay experience.

Obviously over a large enough set of games, the odds are in my favor assuming I’m a non toxi. Despite this, it just seems like a completely different community meaning the variance seems much higher over the weekend. Ultimately it may not even worth playing solo over the weekend given my experience but I am hesitant to trust myself here.

Without jumping to conclusions, is this a common sentiment? or am I just dealing with confirmation bias over the last few weekends worth of games (and admittedly a few awful ones tonight)?
