I'd say "every game" but I'm sure some of the 'suspicious' deaths I've experienced were just me getting outplayed, it happens, some people are just good.
Some background. I've played Tarkov since 2017. In 2018 I was level 57. This wipe I'm level 39 (started 2 months ago). Around when I first started, I would get a shady death every 2-3 games. About 30-40% of games.
Then a glorious ban wave happened and suddenly nobody could aim and the game felt fun again. Well, right now it's starting to feel even worse than it did 2 months ago. Every game now something suspicious happens.
What do I mean by suspicious? Someone seeing me from a near-impossible angle. Someone throwing a nade into a room I haven't moved in for 5+ minutes. Someone coming into a random room and pre-firing my head when I've been creeping for 10+ minutes.
Now I'm well aware that some people are patient and there is likely an explanation for some of it, but this is happening too much. Of my last 15 games that I died in, I would say at least 11 if not more of those had something 'suspicious' happen. Even if you assume half of those were just me being shit (possible lol) that's still a lot of hackers.
I really want an open dialogue about this. I want to see what the community thinks. Am I crazy?
I'd love for BSG to comment on this, because I'm pretty close to taking a break from Tarkov til the next ban wave.
I read a comment recently about BattleEye's process and how right now they are probably 'gathering info' on the hacks. If that leads to a hack-free future for Tarkov then I'm happy to be patient.
