To be a bit more specific with my title, I was doing a woods raid to get some tasks done. I had some weird issue with reloading my shotgun a few minutes earlier but I just assumed that I fixed it because I was able to use it fine to kill a scav. I find an MRE that was lying on a table and went to eat it because my energy was getting low.

My PMC starts eating and does not stop. It has been like a full minute of him eating saltines that I'm surprised that his hydration didn't start going down.

I decided to go to a shack in order for me to alt f4 in order to reset the character. I load back in and try to eat the MRE again. The same thing happens and I'm forced to alt f4.

I toss the MRE into a weapons box and leave for extract. There has been too much time that passed from that so I start booking it for the extract. I notice that I have 1 energy left and I still have a ways to go until extract so I do what I think is a good idea. I eat an Iskra that I have been saving for a task. Same thing happens again. So now my guy is dying to exhaustion while eating an Iskra for the next 3 minutes.

I don't alt f4 because I would load in too slow and would probably die to exhaustion anyways. I make it until roughly the area between dead mans place and scav house until my guy dies to exhaustion.

Weirdest thing though, the raid didn't end. I have to wait 3 more minutes for raid to end. Raid ends and I get MIA status.

I'm not even mad but like what the fuck happened there?
