I started playing Gwent in the Closed Beta. I felt in love with this game, I already liked it in the Witcher 3, but the full Gwent game was something else. I played this game daily, I could play it every night til the morning. The archetypes, the mechanics, the arts, I LOVED it. After the Homecoming announce (when the game wasn’t being updated for half a year) the game became lil bit annoying, cus the meta never changed and everyone was playing the same deck, but I still loved it and played it daily. And then Homecoming was released… That was probably one of the biggest disappointments in my life. I was even forcing myself to play this game, but I just couldn’t. The game wasn’t giving this cozy feeling, where I could play all night and watch Gwent streams in the background. Every couple months I tried to come back to Gwent and played 2-3 days in a row, but it wasn’t even close to the pre-Homecoming game. And now I’ve heard they won’t support this game after 2023. Idk why but I felt so much sadness, as if a close friend of mine would just disappear. I hope so much they will rethink the future of this game and make it more like the old version and wont stop supporting it… I have so much good memories of this game, ending in the top 10, winning against Damorquis in a fan-organised tournament and so much more…
