got myself caught in an unbelievably frustrating situation

I've been sailing around in the Bronze Age solo trying to find the swamp so I can progress in the game. Naturally, sailing itself is ungodly tedious given the huge percent of the time you have headwind. I ran into draugrs for the very first time after about an hour of sailing. I died to them. Sailing is so shit that I decided to just use eikthyr buff to sprint back to the my body and collect my items, which though 2x faster than sailing, still took about 10 minutes. I collected my items. It gave me everything EXCEPT my weapon and armor. I could not get back to my body to get my shield and mace without getting insta-killed to the back by a mob I didn't know was there. The no skill drain buff had ran out, goodbye hours of grinding for those.

Now, waiting in my walled based for my eikthyr buff to come back up so that I can run back AGAIN, 4 draugrs spawn INSIDE MY BASE. They kill me, and they destroy almost everything I had outside of my house but still inside of my walls. I didn't really have anything to fight them with because all my resources and even my backup resources were on my corpses a full continent away.

This isn't fun. Or challenging really. Just annoying as hell. 0/10 experience.
