I want to preface this by saying I am not against grinding. In fact, I find it to be fun and well implemented in valheim, especially around wood collection, farming, item processing, etc.
The one thing that really wears me down, though, is the amount of metal required for everything.
I've started many solo and group play throughs. Steam says i've got 334 hours in the game. Every few weeks or months i get a huge itch to do it again, and i adore the beginning of the game. BUT, around the time i start to hit iron, i get burnt out. The shear amount of scrap iron needed to make the gear to get to the mountains is insanely high and tedious. I love the transport rule, the processing, the weight restrictions, even the difficulty of slugging through the tombs and swamps to gather the goods. But, i just wish gear cost a few less ingots. maybe not even half, maybe just a 30% reduction or something would help a lot.
