Hatchet running isnt a problem…

It's just frustrating to players when they aren't first to the highly contested loot they're looking for. Two sides of the argument both make sense.

  1. If I get to that GPU first, I deserve it, regardless of how much I'm willing to risk in the process

However

  1. Its annoying when I get a doodoo spawn, and loose out on that same GPU to some dude, risking absolutely nothing, that got a better spawn that was closer to the static-ish loot spawns i was after.

Hatchet running is a symptom of the mechanical nature of the game we play.

The bandaid level secure container fix most suggest isnt going to fix the factors that drive players to do that. It would only fix a small part of the issue, while making it much more difficult to secure things for any purpose other than selling.

What's the point of a secure container if I cant utilize it to secure anything?

I dont have any real solutions to this problem because I tend to just play my games as they are, and adjust as things change, if they do, but I felt like it might be worth sharing this perspective.
