4Game

So I have had the game (horizons) for about 5 years but have only recently actually started playing it. This is mainly due to the fact the I couldn't get on with the xbox controller and lack of buttons on it, and the keyboard and mouse for me didn't suit this game , despite having voice attack. However I now have a hotas which I purchased in order to plunge into this game and start enjoying it.
I have earned my first 2 million credits in my trusty sidewinder and have done so exclusively in the pilots federation area mainly trading and doing courier work. I have had little combat or mining experience but I now want to venture outside of area and enjoy the rest of the game , but I have no idea what I want to do or where I want to go. I haven't even landed on a planet yet and taken an srv out.
So I just wanted to know what any of you have enjoyed doing or have recommendations for what a noobie should have a go at?
My aim is to try all aspects of the game and I know I need different ships for to achieve this. There is an awful lot to see and do in this game , and I do find it a bit overwhelming sometimes.
