H&H was not needed

I followed the development of the game since the beta, and I played it as soon as it was released on steam, I loved it

The title is exaggerated but I think that a lot of Heart and home functionality had no reason to be added,

The developers should have been content to add new things to do in the game like the tar pit, new meals, and new weapons which are very good ideas (even the abomination recently). and continued in the launch of what made the success of this game, exploration and fun, by listening to the players and reducing a bit the grind for example (hello iron)

But instead of that the game even added it, by making the food grindy (having to build an oven to bake bread etc, And all the necessary utensils for the boiler, it is maybe realistic yes, but it's not " fun ") people were as well satisfied before?

People were very satisfied with the feeding system before, and yet they changed it, which could have been a good idea to bring more choice as they wanted, but they changed it drastically (they could have made HP / Stamina ratio more varied such as 35/60, 50/10, 20/30 or more balanced food, to be able to choose exactly the HP / Stamina ratio that you are looking for to go on an adventure)

That's what I call choice, but now we just have extremes, not well done…

Weapon balancing is a good idea, the developer could have made some community-highlighted weapons more useful, like the IronSledge, but that's not that big a deal, the problem is the system of combining the resistance of the shield to the health, that makes the system wobbly, because you never know if you can block well, because life varies according to what one ate, and when one ate, without real indications.

This adds complexity to a game that shone with its simplicity and handling.

What is a shame is that with this new system, a good player could have for example bet everything on the stamina, little on the health, and to make a carnage, by reducing the damage received with his skill, but it is impossible, because it will no longer be able to block damage with little HP, which would make it too vulnerable, and reduced to dodging

In the end this update is Meh. both good and bad I think the developers should have focused on adding content for players who hadn't had anything for 7 months, (Small additions to discover in each biome, more building pieces for builders, etc,) rather than changing what worked.

And IMO, it would have been wiser to have a big patch note, which tweaks, weapons, food, etc, just before the release of the game based on player feedback, after having a general overview of all the biomes and the progression. not now…

The problem of this update is the choice of priorities

Love the game still …
