If I'm looking for a crashed ship from supercruise and land to check it out, I have a 50/50 chance of it being horizons-only content or odyssey-only content.
Cut to me sullenly trekking back to my ship to lug out my SRV when all I wanted was some quality spacelegs gameplay. I can't loot ANYTHING at horizons crash sites on foot. And sure, in-lore some of those crates are over a ton. But I can't even scan things? I can't go into buildings from surface settlements in horizons?
The other way around is less painful, but I still have to exit my SRV to collect items on the ground. Why can't I pick up that supply crate? Its the same size as the other containers we pick up using the SRV's cargo scoop so I'm not sure why we can't do the same for Odyssey's on-foot containers. On top of that, SRV quests are denoted by the Horizons icon in the ship mission UI alongside normal spaceflight quests, but the odyssey missions are only accessible through on-foot terminals.
I know the new expansion has other issues, but for me the most jarring letdown of the Odyssey release is the glaring separation of gameplay between it and Horizons. Its not seamless and it really should be in a game like this.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
