I mean it's not an 'untapped market' or anything and I'm sure a lot of these games are inspired by the success of other survival crafters like Minecraft moreso than they are by Valheim, but part of me goes "yeah I guess I could try this while…waiting for the next Valheim update."
I dunno, there's just something inexplicably brutal seeing all the resources being poured into the genre across multiple platforms while Valheim's content pace is what it is. I guess you can charitably say Valheim's small team is part of the charm and ability to make the game as fun as it is, but what I wouldn't give if the game could have a large update even every six months.
I honestly don't even really know if I have a good reason for why it feels bad; maybe it's just as simple as seeing other survival crafting games makes me think about my preferred survival crafting game and wishing there was more. Or maybe envious that these other games get TGA reveals knowing Valheim will probably never be the kind of game to drop a new content trailer at an event. I dunno. I just want more Valheim and there's nothing I can do personally to help make that a reality lol
