It feels like the whole community has been asking for the team to focus on creating stable and reliable audio for the game for eons now. I understand bsg wants to focus on creating the whole game, but frankly I feel as if something like reliable audio should be first and foremost on the list way above streets or all of the event and lore stuff.
I've had shots hit me with no audio of bullet whizz, most of the time if I'm being shot from inside a building and I'm outside there's no sound of the shots actually hitting objects near me and once again, no bullet whizz. Gun audio seems to be like a 50/50 chance of getting correct audio.
And alongside gun audio is movement audio. The most horrendous implementation of any audio I've seen in an fps. Vertical audio cuts out when people run on stairs, half the time you hear a guy taking a shit 4 miles out, and the other half a 4 man stomping around makes 0 noise until your close enough to make out with their point man. I've noticed some maps have much more consistent audio than others, interchange for example I don't think I've ever had an instance of not getting audio information when I felt as if I should have had it.
At the end of the day, I wish they would just take the time to iron out all of the inconsistencies and mechanics that just feel bad instead of slapping more and more shit on top. Maybe they just want to actually finish all the content first so they don't do all that hard work polishing then break something immediately and have to go back to square one. But God damn, it is so frustrating playing an fps with such inconsistent and unreliable sound.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
