Hello everybody.
Often times in video games, after some years of being on the market many add-ons are released. The add-ons include new content, maps, characters, etc. Whilst this is typically a good thing, for newcomers it can make the game overwhelming in its content which needs to be learned. For instance, if you were to have joined a game (dead by daylight for example, not important if you never heard/played this game) and over the 4 or 5 years since its release, the number of playable characters had doubled.
So whilst a veteran only had 16 characters at first to figure out, then slowly over time the other 16 were released which made it very manageable to keep up with. Contrast that with a newcomer who has 32 characters to learn all at the same time, it can become near-impossible to learn.
I have seen some gameplay of DotA2, and it looks like fun. My type of game I think…. a competitive game of strategy & skill. I cannot explain everything, but overall from what I see it looks like fun. So…
Is DotA2 one of these games? Otherwise, do you recommend it for newcomers? Please, distinguish between whether you like the game vs. whether its a good game for newcomers – as the answers may differ.
Thank you very much!
