How much hull is enough in PvE?

I'm currently running a setup on my cutter like this, which is sitting at about 3200ish hull.

I can change my engineering around and upgrade my hull to Reactive to get something like this which will nearly double my hull.

Everything on the first build is already done, though, and this is basically a PvE boat for farming CNBs and the like with Thermal Shock cheese. So I'm not sure if the headache and expense of upgrading would be worth it.

What numbers should I be shooting for, hull wise?
