For context, I'm the founder and Admiral of the Solar Sailors, a small group of commanders from all over the place. We are a mixed collection of all experience levels and roles, currently working on getting a PMF set up.

Lately will all the Stargoid things, I've been considering getting into AX. And after talking to a few folks in the community last night, I decided it was time for a call to arms.

Last night, I announced to the Solar Sailors our first major operation. Originally I was expected our first one to be a forcible takeover of a system in order to create space for our faction, but instead, Operation Fractured Steel will be a project to help all of the members who want it to acquire the needed guardian gear, practice with it, and prepare to squish bugs and take names.

I'm having such a great time. Lots of my members are newer so this will be critical in helping them get on their feet with AX. I'll be commissioning a new AX combat ship myself on the Krait MkII platform and helping others plan builds. A carrier owner in the group will help us all get out to necessary material/guardian sites, and most likely also transport our other ships and non-combat-ready players out of the Bubble as the update nears, just to be safe.

I will stay and I will fight for my home. Many of my comrades will do the same. The rest will be safe many light years from danger. The Solar Sailors will not be defeated.
