4Game

This one hit me faster than usual. I was going fine enjoying myself but than I just hit a wall. Truth of it is though I saw the wall coming a mile away. The people I had been playing with every day for 2 months haven't logged on for a month. Every time I try to start the ground engineer grind I just can't get into it. Probably because I can spend 2 days trying to get something or someone unlocked and it just isn't rewarding. I have well over 10k hours in this game so there is very little I haven't done.

The big thing I like to do is help other people but this stint on ED has been the worst for that. I've had people ask for help but than ignore everything I say and get pissed when they die. I've had people say to call them when I have more money to give them. Even had one guy say I should just log into his account and do the engineering grind for him because it would be quicker. This most of all has killed my drive to want to play.

I still enjoy playing ED but I think I'm at a point where I take my carrier to a small out of the way system and button it up for cold storage. I'm excited to see what comes next in the game but I'll just have to come back and play catch up again and maybe forgo my ritual of coming back and taking a newbie under my wing and teaching them the game. Of the dozens of cmdrs I have helped. None play anymore, so it's proving to just be a waste of my time in the long run.
