So, with all the changes to flea/game in general & attempts to limit RMT…what if BSG added the ability to just buy rubles, IE: micro transactions? Do we think this would help lessen cheating? While also bringing in extra cash for BSG to use for helping servers/staff/etc etc. There is so much you can no longer just buy, whether traders or flea, so being able to buy rubles wouldnt just mean you can buy unlimited 995/slick/RYS. But it would allow you to get some better gear without the 10 hour grind sessions. Meaning maybe some people might not pay cheaters for carries/cheat themselves & just buy rubles instead.
I don’t actually know how to feel about this when a friend mentioned the idea to me. I see the pros but I also see the cons & the arguments that it would destroy the integrity of the game. I’m sure there’s also plenty I’m not seeing that implementing such a thing would do.
Do we think this would help BSG’s battle to stop RMT(or just make a ‘legal’ avenue of that)? Does BSG need some sort of ability to continue making money off the game outside of someone buying a new copy (and no, cheaters don’t just buy a brand new EOD account every time they’re banned giving BSG another $140)?
