By far my worst win-rate in any match-up no matter what deck I play. The whole point of Assimilate was that it had super high potential but took set-up and was vulnerable to control. Now it’s this weird hybrid that keeps all of the engine upside while having a fuck-ton of pointslam. Artaud and Double Cross together also mean they will play your best card at least once

Whenever I’ve seen this come up people just say “just bleed R2 lol”. But this doesn’t seem to work – if it does work for you please give specifics on how you’re managing this

Every single game is me scrambling to win R1 (because like with half the deck these days, lose R1 and you lose the match), and then having to try to bleed R2 after Calveit. I would really, really like for some concrete details on how people manage this, because every time I try this they have such a strong hand they can be 20+ points up without committing their leader or their Mushy Truffle special. So going into R2 a card down (again, you have to to win R1) means you won’t be able to equalise cards R2 and they’ll be able to hang onto Artaud, mushy truffle and Double Cross for a short R3 which is basically GG
