First of all this doesn't apply to people without gear fear.

Hear me out. Being broke is in my opinion the best way to overcome gear fear. This is because when you have money you don't really want to spend it and end up choosing suboptimal gear to "save up more". Having and hoarding money makes you use it less but care about it more at the same time. Not having money lifts that burden from me! The other thing is that when I get a lucky scav run and suddenly have 800k in my stash I am not afraid to use it all to buy some meta gear since it just took me half an hour to get it, whereas If I have money saved up, I lose the concept of how much time it took to get it and makes it feel like those are my "life savings" (or wipe savings).

To sum up – Being a Tarkov hobo and taking meta gear for joyrides is a way to go
