I think I just had the most unfortunate series of events possible. Not sure if I should laugh or cry.

Let's start from the top. I literally just hopped back on after searching for ways to protect my base, since last session I lost quite a few of my wolves (before anything, I had around a dozen 2-star wolves that were a huge pain in the ass to get, my friend and I named them funny names and it was unironically tragic losing some of them). Foreshadowing!

So, I get back into the world and the FUCKING PLAINS RAIDS. Small ass goblins that can two-shot me with a wooden club (I was unprepared, accidentally used bonemass 5 minutes before, and wasn't rested), two huge dudes, the whole shebang. Mind you, I have barely touched the plains, and have been focusing on improving my base and gear before I do.

Well, I decide, this isn't going to end well no matter what I do, so I release the hounds. They come flying out of the building I had them in, and instantly lose half their health fucking up a big guy. I think, oh that wasn't horrible, cause they killed him in a few seconds. Meanwhile, a few went into the water (around a crude stone wall I made, just as a placeholder) and died instantly. I try shooting the second big guy in the water, with my drauger fang and obsidian arrows. Does maybe 2% of his health bar.

Well then the second one comes strollin in, wipes out 5-7 of my wolves, I die. Now I still have several goblins roaming freely destroying my base. I respawn, go back and get my stuff, die again and get the message, "The gods are merciful." THANK GOD. Right? Right?? Yeah no. I go back, after frantically googling how to respawn 2-star wolves and trying to remember devcommands. There is still a goblin there, just being an absolute menace, and kills me again.

So I call quits and flew back with godmode. Somehow, one of my unnamed wolves survived, but only one. So I move him to a safe space and go back to the goblin. I type in "killall" because it said on the website that it kills all the enemies near by. Now, quick note, I never used this near my base, and I would trust that it doesn't kill tamed animals. I kill not only the goblin, but my boars, and my last 2-star wolf.

So now I am typing this, hovering in the air waiting for my new 4 artificial boars to tame, and trying to tame 2 star wolves that I spawned in. Say what you want, but I am so frustrated with the fact that this even happened that I have absolutely no regret doing this. I wouldn't have if I could just alt+f4 to reset progress, but the game still saves. I am contemplating whether I will destroy all of the wolf drops as if it never happened.

PS: how many wolves to you guys have roaming around your base? How do you guys handle something like this?
