idea for limb health, instead of draining the rest of the body

two ideas, one simpler than the other. and both ideas mainly for limbs only, but the first could apply to the stomach easily.

  1. multiple bleeds on a single limb. for example, rather than taking massive full-body damage, multiple bleeds can be stacked on a single limb in addition to moderate full-body damage, and perhaps a higher chance of a heavy bleed on that limb. you still would take full-body damage from getting leg-meta'd, for example, but if you survive a burst and find cover, you have to deal with much more bleeding than normal, requiring specialized meds, multiple healings, or risking finishing a fight while losing a lot of blood.
  2. a "limb integrity" stat for each limb, perhaps hidden, perhaps not. what I mean by this is a second health bar of sorts, tracking the stability of each limb, and that you could not restore in raid.
  • taking damage in the left leg, for example, would drain the left leg's "integrity." until this gets low, it isn't a problem, but if it is depleted, it would mean that the leg is practically destroyed (or fully destroyed) and you collapse from effectively losing a leg.
  • ie: if one leg or arm gets hit enough times, you collapse, regardless of your overall health, because you have literally lost an entire limb. no one on earth could do the vast majority of the things these PMC's do with only one arm, or one leg.
  • with this, the number would have to be somewhat high to keep us from going back into a leg-meta, but low enough so that taking half a mag in the knees isn't survivable.
  • same as the first idea as well: you would still take reduced full-body damage, so you'd weaken, but getting hit in the limbs doesn't entirely rely on your overall health.

the biggest thing for me is seeing someone take 5, 6, 7 rounds in the leg, patching themselves up, and proceeding to sprint away (after a painkiller or surgical kit). feasibly, that person could take another volley in the same limb later on and do the same thing, if they were lucky.

realistically, if you survived several direct hits in the same limb, that appendage would be jello. regardless of field surgery, that limb would not be able to stand up to another hit, let alone several more hits. I know we had a huge problem with leg-meta-ing people early on, and still do sometimes, but this is something that bothers me a little bit, especially with surgery kits being so prevalent now. I think healing blacked limbs in raid is great, but I have my gripes with how the system works (and mostly how FAST you can do it…)

I'm curious what people think. again, I don't wanna bring back the early game blacked-limb meta, but I feel like there needs to be some punishment for absorbing mag upon mag of rounds and just slurping up a medkit to feel better.
