Everyone's way of communicating on Tarkov is Discord. Unfortunately, this is unlikely to change. That being said, a radio system + always active VOIP would make Tarkov incredibly immersive and potentially add an interesting aspect to PVP/dealing with other teams.
First of all, if you are near teammates, you wouldn't use a radio. VOIP could always be active, or you could just use push-to-talk.
If you were out of earshot, you could use a radio. Your teammates would tune into a common signal and speak to each other. Other players could hear you speak into the radio if within earshot (with regular proximity VOIP), and they could hear your teammates' comms coming from YOUR radio's speaker too (maybe having a headset would make this no longer the case). This would make turning off your radio and staying silent when isolated important, as to not give away your position.
The last aspect I thought about was one the devs have actually mentioned, which is "intercepting" other teams' radio signals. Suggest ideas if you have them, but I think this would be implemented as being able to tune your radio in order to hear nearby teams' comms. A caveat: you could only hear the other teams' comms, as otherwise it would just be extremely annoying having a random screaming profanities over your teams' signal.
Obviously there might be more pressing matters at hand when it comes to development, and I'm not sure BSG would know how, but would you like to see this implemented? General thoughts?
