Thought about this when I saw the new eagle pulse paint job. What if we could change the color of those paint jobs that have lighted strips on the fly?

I could think of at least three modes of operation controlled by the ship panel on the right:

  1. Standard mode – You can toggle through all the preset colors we currently have available, thinking it does not need to be true RGB, just a preset color selector.

  2. Functions mode – Have predetermined colors for specific ship functions, like hardpoints being deployed could be red, landing gear deployed could be green, cargo scoop could be blue, boosting could be orange, using any type of scanner could be purple, etc etc. Could default to White if none of these actions are being made.

  3. Temperature mode – have the colors go from Blue to red depending on your ship's temperature

They could charge a bunch of ARX for this kind of stuff
