I don't know if I've had a bad seed, but the moment I put down the building and farming to do some exploration (and trying to setup outposts at the bosses), I really just cannot be bothered. It always falls into the same cycle of 'I need to find the next swamp to move off of bronze', 'walking around', 'Deathsquito or Goblin', lose all amour & tools & weapons, now go back and get them.
It just makes me want to save-scum it, because I don't feel like I can adequately stealth around them, and even if I could, taking 70+ damage through my (currently as high as possible amour) to lose 1/3 to 1/2 of my health is just way too rough and discouraging.
It's not like there's much fun in fighting them either, it's just 'run away and bow'. Even with my iron bow and arrows, they still take like 8+ hits, assuming I've also sneak-crit them.
It'd be nice if there was some tranq-gun to temporarily stun them, so I could get away, or at least giving the arrows bigger hitboxes and faster speed. It kinda just feels trashy. I had less trouble with the Elder than I did with any Goblins and Deathquitos.
I think some sort of mass-slow or stun-gun, along with keeping your hotbar on death would really go a long way to making this game feel a lot better.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
