I've been reading through a lot of the back and forth regarding the mistlands update and the difficulty players have been having with it, and I noticed that there is very little discussion about which boss buff to use. It seems as if the entire community has decided that Bonemass is unquestionably the best buff to use for the exploring/fighting aspect of the game. At the same time, I feel the vast majority of the difficulty players are having fighting in the mistlands could be boiled down to always running out of stamina due to the mistlands terrain requiring you to run and jump much more than before. It then feels obvious to me that Eikthyr would be the more beneficial buff in this situation since being able to avoid damage is always preferable to being able to tank more damage.
From experience, it helps immensely. It really allows you to use the terrain to your advantage when facing multiple enemies of different types. When combined with the knockback on the arbalest, I haven't really experienced any situation where I felt in over my head, and if you do get in over your head, it gives you the opportunity to just run away completely. And last, since it combines with the corpse run buff to make running and jumping cost 0 stamina, it makes for some truly epic drive-by corpse recoveries that I think everyone should experience!
tldr: I think Eikthyr is the best buff for exploring the mistlands and you should try it.
