Is gambling the only thing keeping dota alive right now?

Watching DPC, I was having a feeling that gambling had become more and more intrusive lately.

I was curious and I went looking for past DPC and major tournament sponsors in the past. Names like Intel, DHL, SAP, Monster energy, Logitech, and many other (mostly related to gaming gear) popped up. It was hard to find any reference to betting at all.

Where are they? Why is every region's DPC now sponsored only by betting companies (with the exception of CN, for which Liquipedia reports no sponsor, and SA that has many others)? Why is every major team sponsored by a betting company?

Is talent okay with it? Because they are openly advertising betting before games now (I don't recall that happening in the past, but I might be wrong). Is the community okay with it?

I mean…I'm getting the feeling that dota is sponsoring gambling at this point, not the other way around…
