I bought the game a while ago but just started playing and first let me start with my compliments on my first impressions. The ambiance is amazing, the audio in particularly is seriously impressive. It feels very high tech and the UI, while confusing, has a wonderful look and snappy feel. And to potentially counter the learning curve it does seem very deep in the game's possibilities.
But wow, the learning curve. Figuring out how to go from point A to B across and within star systems kicked my butt. Also figuring out even where to find the starting mission that the introduction told me to continue with was problematical. I mean I'm figuring it out and I'm going to stick with it but I'm just wondering if other people have had such difficulties too or am I missing something?
FWIW I'm playing with an XBox controller BTW. I tried with an old joystick at first when I first got it and didn't like it. I would have considered getting a joystick that would be more optimal just for this game but I have a Steam Deck on order so an XBox controller will be closer to that. BTW, any word on Steam Deck support?
Oh and last question. I initially bought the game after reading about the then upcoming ground expansion. I know it released poorly. Has that been improved to the point that I should go ahead and get it or should I wait on that?
Thanks!
