Is this normal to see 10-15k LY from the bubble?

Earlier this week, a friend and I were taking my newly-acquired fleet carrier to Colonia because he'd never been there, and we encountered something I have to ask about. When attempting to plot a route to Blua Eaec RM-J b26-3, my fleet carrier prevented the jump because the system was 'Thargoid Occupied'.

I jumped to a nearby system and poked around a little bit. While I didn't explore every planet in the system because it was getting late, I did happen across some Nonhuman Signatures on the planets I did scan/explore. These turned out to be non-scannable Thargoid Sensors(probes?), but there were few sensor fragments near each one.

Now I've seen countless distress and wreckage signals while out in the black before, but never any Thargoid-related signals.
I plan on revisiting once we leave Colonia for Sagittarius A* and the bubble, but need to source tritium first -_- Has anyone else seen signs of Thargoids this far out from the bubble before?
