I love Gwent! Loved it in Witcher 3. Loved it in Thronebreaker. I didn't find Gwent: The Witcher Card Game until a couple of weeks ago while I've been in bed recovering from spine surgery. I love this game!
BUT, BUT I have such anxiety over playing real people. It's not about whether I win or lose. I'm anxious over whether or not they enjoyed the game. If I'm trying out a new deck (and without a full set of cards, I try out very non-meta decks), and they crush me, I wonder if they think I'm just a bad player. When I do try a meta deck, against some decks, I crush them, and I think, "That must not have been fun for them." Or against other decks I get crushed, and that's not fun for either of us.
Then there are those times, when it's a great game where we go back and forth, and every round is won or lost by only a few points, and I want to say, "That was fantastic!!!" But I have no idea who I played against.
Is there a group, Discord or otherwise, with other like-minded people, who just want to play friendly games of Gwent with feedback, witty banter or a simple mug of Redanian Lager?
