The whole point of syndicate as a faction as I understood it was that your cards/combos were often more powerful but that came with the downside of needing to carefully manage your coins. Over-profiting was always one of the limiting factors and in general it was supposed to be a steeper learning curve with more risk/reward. Spenders are super powerful but profiting always needed to be carefully micro-managed to precisely support spending without waste.
For example how many coins you had in your purse was a strategic decision – have it full and you can do some very powerful slams, but you also restricted what you can play as a lot of cards would become wasteful at that level of coin. Lower coin levels meant your profits would be super useful but cards like Phillipa would be weaker. Navigating the match so you always have just as many coins as you need and no more took a lot of planning and was super rewarding when you pulled it off right. Jackpot keeps all of the OP-ness of SY’s best cards while completely removing the design balance of coin limits.
In my most recent game against it as Relicts I managed to lose even though I bled out/shut down: Sigi, Professor, Whoreson, leader, Saul, Caesar and KoB
Didn’t matter though, because even with Mammuna and Gernicora R3 they still somehow have room in the deck for Roland + Salamander which is an instant +40 point swing on top of any units of yours the poison kills. No planning around how to effectively use the coins needed
