Just gonna say it. Disappointing port.

You know. I was super excited for this to launch on console. Had friends that had moved away from PC gaming years ago and were looking forward to diving into this as a group.

Kind of can’t help but feel they got an extremely short stick here.

I’m not angry. Ports aren’t easy. But this feels like it should have been a bit better than it was – almost like they didn’t get a hold of an s|x dev kit like the grim dawn folks.

There is next to no noticeable difference in graphic modes besides frame rate.

The steam deck even runs significantly better in performance and visuals than the console (SX) version.

This feels massively bugged. Shadows are even non existent and this ends up gutting one of the best features of this game completely (light, shadows, weather, and water were what brought the art style together here to truly be special… as a result the port just looks muddy).

Don’t get me wrong. I’m playing it. It’s still the game I love here. It just feels very half baked. There’s even hit detection issues that aren’t present in the PC versions coupled with audio loss.

Be nice to get a patch fix or something.
