So the capital ships we have are called "battle cruisers", which implies existence of cruisers.. and BATTLESHIPS. Imagine how cool it would be. With big ass main calibers and ship size larger than battlecruisers, maybe like 1.5 times. Maybe their role is bombarding planetary bases and stations. And battle cruisers, to destroy those battleships, equipped with larger guns than what they have now.

Then have small destroyers (still at least twice the size than big 3), launching massive torpedoes and missiles, have cruisers to shoot down destroyers.. and players in their ships shooting down torpedoes to save their battleships or destroying subsystems of enemy ships. Destroy heat vents, maybe damage the main caliber before it blows your station into pieces.. And add fleet carriers among the navy group to restock and repair ships mid-fight.

Sure it will never be made, but just imagine the scale of fight. It'd be whole lot exciting then just two capital ships jumping inside a combat zone, shoot some small ships down and leave. And if they make those big ships controllable as well, it'd be just perfect.
