Just to clarify: Rule #1 of the Chad code: Chads don’t care about gear.

So there's been a lot of talk about Chads and rats lately, also plenty of claims from people claiming to be Chads or have been Chads etc… I felt like I had to talk about this to clear some misconceptions. Disclaimer: I'm really not a Chad in the game myself but I've watched hundreds of hours of videos and streams of actual Chad players and this is basically the conclusion I've reached, it's the one thing that's preventing me from claiming the Chad title for myself and I'm working on it.

Now after watching hundreds of hours of Chad gameplay like I mentioned above, one thing has become very very clear: if you care too much about looting other guy's gear you are NOT a Chad! I don't care if you run the highest tier armor and meta guns in every raid, if your mentality is about getting other people's gear at all costs you are still in rat mode my friend. A true Chad plays the game for the EXPERIENCE, for the thrill of the PVP, for the excitement of winning a fight not to loot the guy, but the show the guy who's the freaking Chad of the lobby.

A Chad will certainly loot people, if it's safe to do so! They will gladly ignore a body, even the juiciest body you've ever seen if it's in a spot where they would be too exposed if they tried to loot it. A real Chad never worries about the stuff he lost upon death, he's just upset that he lost the right not that he lost the gear. In the mind of a real Chad the gear is replaceable, it's the fact that he failed that bothers him. That's not to say that Chads don't want to find good loot, but all loot is to fund their expensive kits and ammo, not to get the pleasure of looting a body. Yes they care about finding expensive stuff, using keys to look for LEDXs and keycards but they don't engage in the "I got your gear ha ha ha" attitude, it's more like the "I beat you, I'm better than you" attitude, the gear is just a bonus, it's only going to help them fund their kits.

I personally have to work on that myself, I'm currently running decent kits, I just find myself worrying too much about others looting my stuff when I die, or me looting that body in the open that can get me killed so easily because I can't resist the temptation of finding out what the guy's got. If you are like me, trust me you're no real Chad as much as you want to think you are. They day you die and literally feel NOTHING about your lost gear but you find yourself bothered by the fact that lost the fight that's the day you're an actual Chad and if all you do is talk about "I got the guy's gear so whose winning" you're a rat my friend, get over it.

TLDR: Chads are about the experience and the action, not about analyzing how much gear they grabbed from other players.
