4Game

I've been playing Valheim with my friends for the past few months on and off. we have yet to even finish half of the content. Everyone starts essentially playing the game as if its Minecraft. its kind of annoying. I want my group to explore all the biomes, search and discover new items, I want to finally kill Bonemass. but I can't unless I do it alone. which is also fine, but I want that group experience. and they would rather make their houses bigger and till the land to look like a farm and trap wolves for pet aesthetic. I don't even really know what it is im venting about. the game's mechanics are amazing. the lore and immersive world is refreshing. I have nothing negative to say about the game. but if I had my way, I would maybe limit building abilities to deter building and shift focus to exploring and adventure? but I digress all of this because I understand everyone enjoys their gaming the way they like. I'm just overthinking. I just don't see the benefit of building outside of bed, storage and shelter for weather/mobs. every time I start a new server with friends, we don't even make it past exploring the first and second biome. am I missing something? is building part of the meta? maybe its server specific which decides how you play? I've only ever been to friends servers and my own created servers. ill delete if post is unnecessary.
