I thought I'd share some of my experiences with the community. With nearly 2.5k raids I've gotten Kappa along the way. For me, it felt like a natural experience (except tarkov shooter part 8 during that last event. Fuck that). There was no dreadful "grind" so to speak. I love this game and what it tries to offer (and sometimes fails to deliver on despite best intentions). I'm not concerned about wipe.
I want to share one thought/suggestion now that I'm at this point. The singular improvement to the game that I'd like to see implemented is everyone's hideout having multiple -maybe 3- PMCs so that if the primary one is incapacitated from a previous raid, he is on a cooldown and you have to play another PMC from your hideout. Perhaps extra slots unlock with rest area upgrades, or perhaps they are available right away, and through recruiting efforts with one of the traders, or maybe even through a new type of task. These PMCs would have different levels in their various skills, but "you" as the hideout manager are what the overall level for traders giving missions is based off of. This would also enable players who typically group together with limited time to all get back into the action a bit quicker, knowing that they can prepare each PMC ahead of time, and could also give some more veteran players goals to focus on in regards to maxing skills on all their PMCs. It would also be cool to see if you, as the hideout manager, can have BEAR and USEC at the same time, so these important "choices" for different maps can be determined by the PMC you pick for a mission, not the PMC you are hard-locked with. Once -if- the game is fully released, the current system suggests that you will never know what it's like to play as a BEAR or USEC unless you reset your account or buy a new one, which I see as a design flaw. As we see from some of the live-action Escape from Tarkov Raid videos, BEAR and USEC will sometimes share a rest area and not be at eachother's throats, this to me feels like a teaser and gives me hope for such an implementation. We can also group up for missions as USEC and BEAR, so it's not really a game-breaking idea.
I'd love to share some of my experiences! Ask me anything!
