The locally hosted dedicated server you can download from steam so that you can host your own server at home, has stopped accepting all internal connections including loopback. I have been using the server for a year now with no issues.
server.bat file is setup correctly and matches the same format etc as the PDF file shows and also matches the same format as my previous files. I compared them to make sure.
the server only allows external connections so if i want to play on my own locally hosted server at home, i have to use the external IP which adds more overhead to the system. Its supposed to be able to connect via loopback, any server should be able to connect via loopback, thats network engineering 101
When the server has stated, the command prompt does indeed say "game server connected"
i conntacted support and they asked me why i would want to connect locally to my server?? im lost at why they asked that. Maybe they think im talking about the ingame server hosting option
