First of all, gotta get it out of the way first and foremost that this is the most idiotic non solution for incorporating vr and on foot gameplay, really gotta hand it to the devs on this one. I've seen vr mods for games 20 years old that are better implemented than this shit show! And who's the genius that decided that gunmetal grey was the right choice for the void in which your giant shitty screen floats? Really?! Did you just want to draw as much attention as possible to this shitty decision? Couldn't Have at least given us solid black so that it minimized glare on hmd lenses? Or is that the same reason why they decided to have internal lights on in ships while out in space so that it causes glares on the lenses when contrasted by the void of space?

Even more irritating is that it seems to lack ANY ability to adjust how far away the virtual screen is, or even any options specific to this shitty mode like oh I dunno,adjusting the resolution of the virtual screen? The performance difference when in true vr vs this flatscreen mode is DRASTIC, so you couldn't at least let us enjoy increased eye candy since we are forced to deal with this abomination?

If the devs actually cared they would Have at the very least given us the option of a normal vr experience using keyboard and mouse fps controls like so many other games like alien isolation or no mans sky…why drop the ball when they are SO CLOSE to doing something right?!

TLDR:

Is there ANY WAY to adjust the distance of the virtual screen from your face, the color of the background, or the resolution of the virtual display independently of the actual vr resolution? Or are there any mods to force stereoscopic 3d so that I'm not forced to suffer this grey bordered waking nightmare?
