So I built my first longship. Sailed to a meadow beach adjacent to BM swamp. The meadow was sandwiched between swamp and plains. I assumed I was far enough away from the plains. I was wrong.
Little did I realize that the plains biome had goblins that can sniff a boat at 9000 yards. Moments after landing I see him making a beeline for my position.
Now I'm back paddling as fast as possible. He swam at least 100 yards ( they can swim faster than a longship can reverse ). He 3 shotted the Longship and then 1 shotted me.
I can understand a 1-shot on me, but I think Longships deserve more endurance.
This was my personal limit (breaking point) regarding the amount of personal time I'm willing to spend to negotiate the traveling design. I judge game events based on total hours needed to recover from any type of designed catastrophe.
In this case, my ignorance cost at least 10-20 hours recovery, by the rules. The reward is not worth the iron price (per GoT).
Portal mod installed.
exploremap invoked.
Fun restored. 🙂
