I suck at combat generally. Dark Souls games are too hard for me and games with things like extended combo chains or character switching or longs lists of situational combat skills are also too hard.
I don't really know what the general consensus is regarding where valheim combat stands in a difficulty hierarchy, but I love the combat in valheim. I've gotten really good at blocking, rolling, and using the occasional healing or stamina potion, or switching weapons, and I love the fact that mobs mostly move slowly and telegraph their moves. It did take me a long time to learn to manage my stamina usage and not panic and learn how each mob fights, but I'm at the point where I now just really love the combat. And I always used to hate combat in games because I was never able to get good.
So I don't know if I'm going to piss people off by calling the combat in valheim simplistic, but the fact that I've been able to learn it makes me feel like it must be pretty easy.
I've got thousands of hours in Valheim now and I'd really love recommendations for other games where the combat is at my level.
