TL;DR : a jovial rant from someone new to the game. Simply discussion.
A friend gifted me valheim <2 months ago. Since then, I’ve logged 70 hours and counting. Admiring the atmosphere and your own WIP’s is incredibly cathartic and gratifying, I seriously can’t get enough. When a game makes mundane tasks such as farming, chopping trees, mining, etc a meditative experience, it’s doing something right.
The world of modding is absolutely amazing as well. Valheim+, clutter, and build it to name a few greatly enhance the experience without giving the player an unfair advantage (unless you configure a handicap).
And lastly the community, everyone’s so friendly and supportive. An honest projection of the vibe that the game itself gives off on top of how fun it is.
Thanks for kicking ass, giving me ideas to bring my builds more life and diversity, and hyping up a game that so well deserves it (almost to 400k subs!!).
And it’s 20$? I would happily pay 40+.
