Me, the Baby Orca and Space

Hello commanders 07.
It's been a time since I last posted here, I had an amazing journey the previous posting; Today I bring another!

Me and Alories my baby Orca set off from Lembas, and had our eyes set upon Bernard's Loop… Again!
However this time I was clever, I manually plotted my course star by star. Sifting through the permitted only zones, finding my way through.

After a solid course of plotting, I could finally see the Nebula in the distance, and boy was she a beaut!
Feeling gleeful, I quickly charted more and more, until eventually, I found myself plotting a course, the only course; Directly through the center of Bernard's Loop.

It was beautiful, and amazing. But the Orca wanted more, and who was I to not provide? We then set our eyes on the HorseHead Nebula, and began manually plotting once again!
Forty minutes into the journey, I noticed this foe I could not face head on. Permit only paths barred my way, and so I did the only thing I could do….Plotted a way to sneak up from behind!

We detoured, bobbed and weaved our way for many hours, but to no avail. But we were not without glee, and pep in our space fuel. We were surrounded by beautiful Nebulai in the sky, and with that we moved on to explore the unknown.

I then decided it was time to leave the Inner Orion, and journey much deeper into the void. We'd achieved venturing into the Sanguines', but I wanted to go much further.
After an hour of plotting and jumping, more permits blocked our way as we tried to reach HD 288174
Scrunching my nose, I decided to take the tactic that I'd used at HorseHead Nebula… To the ceiling we climbed!
Further and further we journied, making our way into the Outotz system, and still getting permit blocked.

Shaking my head, I soothe the Orca of it's exploration jitters, and plotted some scenic routes.
We stopped by an HD star, and found ourselves staring at a Neutron star, and outright flabbergasted as we accidentally decided to stare into the void… A black hole!

Deciding it was enough I decided it was time to find a station, and stop for the night…. And that's when we felt like we were the baby orca, in a very very big sea.
Nothing around station wise for over 650 LY, so we decide to find a fleet carrier. The first Outotz stop BN? BG? I cannot recall… Unfortunately had already departed, desperate I looked for the next, and found my target Outotz LS-K d8-2.

I plotted my course, sleep creeping into my bones, but still enjoying my exploring. Mapping planets, and ogling their beauty…. until….. A system wide message said it was shutting down. 40 minutes to go 11 jumps away.
I hurried myself, not pausing to map any planet.
20 minutes, 15, 10, 5 minutes remained.
I was sweating, I got to the system and behold!
A decommissioned carrier, but one active!
I quickly plot for supercruise, 7 seconds from me.

1 minute remained before shut down, I jumped out of supercruise. I quickly sung out my horn requesting docking.
Seconds left on the clock. They granted me access, I speed towards my dock… I miss my target, I slowed down and auto dock engaged, panicking I let it do its adjustments.
I see the Orca lower itself down towards the pad, almost there! Mere inches…. Then it all went black.

It was an eventful night, a great night even.
I hope to explore even further next time, but until then commanders,
o7
