I just started over. I'm going to do a single life Mistlands run. Brand new world and guy.
Here's why.
I'm deep into the Mistlands with my current guy. A new weapon called for Silver, another calls for 50 bones. And this is a recurring theme in weapons, armor, food, everything. Items calling for resources that never had a use beyond a certain stage and became Obliterator fodder.
I decided, That's it. I'm doing this new biome right, and doing the next world right and saving all my stuff.
What Mistlands does, is it makes it so there is a reason not to just blow through a biome to get to the next one. It makes it worth it to fully explore and plunder each stage of the game. It makes gold and all those little pieces of treasure worth it. It makes all the extra silver and Black metal and even tin and copper something not to get "just enough of" but to get vast stores of. It makes it so gardens of carrots and onions and turnips are always valuable.
It makes it so every biome isn't a stage to get through, but a stage to cultivate and enjoy.
I really can't believe what a huge and wonderful update to the game Mistlands is.
Massive props and thanks to the Devs.
