I think it’s time the MMR system was changed. We’ve had the fixed 30 for a win 30 for a loss for a number of years now, but bunch made things more ‘stable’, but removed all personal performance and impact from the game.
I’d like to see a return to something similar to the old system where we get a base amount for a win win with adjustments made for your performance against your average and bracket.
The data sets are there publically, you can see your GPM against bracket average for example. Plus your personal average on a hero can be seen post-game, too. It’s debatable how accurate Stratz’ ‘impact/performance’ rating is, yet something along those lines for additional MMR changes would be interesting.
For Example;
You had the game of your life and won: 30 MMR for win + 10 MMR for performing over average/having high impact
You had the game of your life and lost: -30 MMR for loss + 10 MMR for performing over average/having impact
You’re still losing MMR but at least your performance was recognised in a losing situation. Likewise there are games you win but didn’t have any influence or impact on that win. You’d get your 30 for the win minus the poor performance.
Or even -30 for the loss and another 10 for a really poor individual performance based on your average/bracket average
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
