Movement speed kinda makes scopes useless in the game.

Scopes are in a wierd spot in this game. For a couple of reason they can’t be utilized and using a red dot is almost always better.

Movement speed, enemies zig zag around the map thus getting your aim on them with a scope is daunting.
The way lower sensitivity on them, this problem go hand in hand with point number 1. It’salmost impossible to aim at a really fast pmc with a low sensitivity.
Maps being small, I guess this will change once they make it an open world. Also distance proportions in Tarkov are wierd so you never know when to aim above.
They require you to be stationary and everyone knows lack of movement in tarkov = death.
Mag dump meta makes them useless as well as you cant use full auto with a scope

These are some of the reasons, we basically have a lot of useless scopes.
