As an early beta player, I can confidently say that Escape From Tarkov started to go down-hill after the addition of quests. Thinking about it now, I realize that the mechanics of Early Beta were honestly a perfect combination of fast-paced action, and slow mil-sim style gameplay. I reminisce the days of buckshot leg-meta on Factory. Furthermore, the addition of the flea market has completely ruined the pacing of the game. Early beta had players truly scavenging for loot. You would be excited to find a new attachment to put onto your shiny full-sized AK, but now it is reduced to a simple click of the button.
Tarkov remains one of my favorite games of all time with over 1000 hours, however I feel as though it could be much, much better. This post is NOT shitting on the developers of this game. They have poured their heart and soul into this fantastic game, I just feel as though they took the game in the wrong direction. I respect the dedication to the original vision of the game, but I feel as though the game's development should be based off of the player-base. Everyone who played EFT in early beta LOVED the game, but now it has reached a point where it has become incredibly polarizing, which is awful, considering how great the game truly is.
I know this post will receive a lot of hate, but I would still like to know the general opinion of this subreddit (most likely against mine.) Although I am sure that there will be a few whom agree with me.
Good luck on your next raid <3!<
