New craft idea 7: pelican

Maker: core dynamics| role: passenger transport| niche: damaged station rescues| size: large

This ship would be core dynamics’ first attempt to make a non combat oriented ship. It would be specifically designed to rescue people from damaged stations. It would be a large ship, with 2 crew. Similar to the type-7 in many ways, except that it is slightly more expensive, has better heat tolerance, has less jump range, and are less armored and shielded. They make up for the defense loss with much more speed then the t7 being able to escape troubling situations much faster. In terms of internals it has slightly less than the t7, with two size 6, three size 5, one size 4, two size 3, one size 2, and two size 1 internal compartments. In terms of weaponry it’s OK for a ship of it’s type, 2 medium hardpoints, and 1 small hardpoint. It’s shape is like a squashed T7 to make it easier to go through the access corridor. it’s about 3/4 as long as an anaconda, and very slightly wider than one. In terms of price it would be in the 18,000,000 area. I thought of this because all of core dynamics’ ships are for combat (no matter what the dropship says) and there is no real purpose built rescue ship
